San Diego Weather: Pleasant weather continues, warmer weekend ahead
It has been a slightly cooler day with some coastal temperatures topping out in the low 60s. Clouds have been stubborn for some beach areas, but everywhere else has turned mostly sunny this afternoon.
Thursday looks very much the same with morning clouds, afternoon sun, and slightly cooler than normal temperatures. This is thanks to a storm system moving through the pacific northwest and northern California. The rain will stay far away from here, but it has been enough to bring in some cooler air and push the overnight clouds a little farther on shore.
The increased onshore flow will also bring increasing winds for parts of the county later this evening. We have a WIND ADVISORY for the mountains and deserts from 6pm this evening until 4am Thursday. Winds will be gusting around 35mph with some isolated gusts around 45mph.
The winds will turn offshore for the weekend as we warm up through Sunday. Inland temperatures will be back into the 80s for Sunday.
THURSDAY
- Coast: sun & clouds – upper 60s
- Inland: sunny – low to mid 70s
- Mountains: sunny, breezy – mid 60s
