Investigation underway after woman's body found in Bensalem home
Law enforcement officials in Bensalem said a “suspicious death” investigation is now underway after a woman’s remains were found “emaciated” in a home on Saturday.
According to police, officers responding for a well-being check at a home along the 5000 block of Hunters Court South in Bensalem on Saturday, found the body of Cynthia Bouffard, 70, of Bensalem.
Police said the woman’s remains “appeared to be emaciated and had been deceased for some time” when officers discovered her body in the living room of the home.
An autopsy will be done to determine Bouffard’s cause and manner of death, officials said.
Law enforcement officials said that Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn and the Bensalem Police Department are expected to provide more information once the autopsy results are complete.
