FIFA World Cup 26 Volunteer Center opens at Philadelphia's Fashion District

As excitement continues to build for next year’s FIFA World Cup 26, Philadelphia Soccer 2026 has announced the grand opening of its new volunteer center.

FIFA World Cup 26 will take place in June and July 2026, and is anticipated to be the largest sporting event ever, with three host countries and 16 host cities, including Philadelphia.

The volunteer center, now located at the Fashion District on 901 Market Street, will serve as a training and recruitment location for volunteers.

There is also an in-house FIFA museum in the center, where volunteers can learn more about the history of the FIFA World Cup and Philadelphia Soccer 2026’s mission.

Philadelphia Soccer 2026 is the local host committee in charge of planning and executing FIFA World Cup 26 in collaboration with the city of Philadelphia.

“With the opening of Philadelphia’s FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center, we are entering an exciting new phase of preparations,” said Alison Grove, Senior Director, Strategy, Operations, and Partnerships/Volunteer Lead for Philadelphia Soccer 2026. “This space is one of the first physical touchpoints for the tournament in Philadelphia, and it’s ready to welcome, train, and inspire thousands of volunteers. It’s a special space for the people who will help bring the World Cup to life and show the world what makes our city so special.”

The Fashion District spans three blocks in the center of downtown Philadelphia. The area is home to several designer stores, restaurants and hotels.

The Volunteer Center will be adjacent to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and within walking distance of over 6,000 hotel rooms. Public transportation is also easily accessible from the center’s location.

“The launch of our FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center embodies Philadelphia’s energy, optimism, and pride in welcoming the world,” said Michelle Singer, Co-Chair, Philadelphia Soccer 2026. “Located in the heart of the city, it showcases one of the many ways Philadelphia will make this tournament shine—creating a vibrant hub where volunteers, citizens, and visitors can come together to experience the excitement of the moment and help build an enduring legacy for the future.”

FIFA World Cup 26 is expected to have 3,000 volunteers from a diverse range of communities within Philadelphia.

Officials said a core team of “Starting Lineup Volunteers” has already been selected and will assist with Volunteer Team Tryouts, scheduled to begin later this month.
