USS Cincinnati returns to homeport in San Diego

The littoral combat ship USS Cincinnati returned home to San Diego on Wednesday.

Cincinnati was commissioned in 2019 and homeported in San Diego alongside 11 other LCS. The crew of about 70 officers and enlisted personnel is part of Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One.

The Navy said its primary mission includes countering diesel submarine threats, littoral mine threats, and surface threats to assure maritime access for joint forces.

Cincinnati, led by Commanding Officer Andrew Recame, is approximately 418 feet in length, with a width of nearly 104 feet.
