Kevin Krebs was arrested in June. His Malvern home was the subject of multiple searches, where the bomb squad was sent to remove explosive items, police said. Now the 31-year-old is being charged by the FBI.

Saturday, June 14, as thousands marched in West Chester for a “No Kings” rally, Kerbs was stopped by police after a person in the crowd reported seeing him putting on a tactical vest and saw him with weapons near a car.

According to court documents, Krebs was in possession of a handgun, three loaded magazines, six loaded assault rifle magazines, a bayonet, pepper spray, a pocket knife, gloves and a ski mask. And in the back of his car, he had an assault style rifle.

Krebs was released from police custody on the condition that he hand over his weapons.

Two days later, the home he shared with his brother was searched, and officials with the bomb squad reported finding pipe bombs and other explosives. Krebs was then placed under arrest again.

Krebs was initially charged with unlawful possession of weapons of mass destruction, as well as possessing an instrument of crime, among other related charges.

In the last several months, he was to appear in the county court, but each time the case was postponed. The morning of October 23, 2025, the district attorney’s office informed a judge that Krebs is no longer in the custody of Chester County; he had been taken into federal custody the night before.

On a federal level, Kreb is being charged with making and possessing destructive charges.

The case against Krebs on the state level is now on hold. His attorney said he needs to know if federal prosecutors are taking all of the charges against him or just some of the criminal counts.

Kerb is to remain in federal custody.
