Surveillance shows multi-car crash in Flagami that left driver dead

Surveillance footage shows a multi-car crash in Miami that left a man dead and two others injured early Friday.

The crash happened at around 4:14 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 31st Avenue and 7th Street in Flagami, according to the Miami Police Department.

A Ford F-250 and a Nissan Sentra were traveling westbound on 7th Street when the F-250 sideswiped the Nissan, police said, making the driver lose control and veer off the road and into the lot of a nearby car dealership.

The F-250 then crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a white Crown Victoria, police said.

Surveillance footage from a nearby business showed the moments of the crash. One of the cars went through a green gate and came to a rest in what appears to be a parking lot. Another suffered severe damage to its front end.

The driver of the Crown Victoria was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. His identity hasn’t been released.

The driver of the Sentra sustained broken bones, and the driver of the F-250 was also injured, police said.

Miami Fire officials said the men involved are 35, 31 and 79 years old.

Charges against the driver of the Ford F-250 are pending, police said.

At least three blocks were closed to traffic.

Miami Beach Police also responded to the scene to assist with special equipment needed by Miami police.

The cause of the collision was not immediately known.
