San Diego weather: Warm, sunny start to the weekend
The last day of January is going to feel more like summer with temperatures close to 90 in some places.
Temperatures today are back into the 80s inland, and in most places, a little warmer than yesterday.
The warming will continue for Saturday with temperatures as warm or warmer than today. Inland temps will be 15-20 degrees above normal, and the beaches about 10 degrees above normal.
We’ll get a slight break from the heat for the start of next week. Temperatures will cool 5 to 10 degrees for Sunday, but still be above normal.
We have another round of King Tides this weekend timing up with the February full moon. Morning high tides will above 7 feet through Sunday. Wave height, however will be dropping a little bit for Saturday and again Sunday which should reduce the risk of coastal flooding.

The brief cooling won’t last long. High pressure builds again for the middle to end of next week bringing warmer temperatures and moderate Santa Ana winds to the mountains.
