San Diego weather: Drier and warmer with gusty Santa Ana winds
A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the valleys and mountains through Tuesday afternoon. Winds will be sustained at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of 40 to 55 mph. The strongest winds are expected in the mountains and foothills, especially from Monday morning through Monday evening when they are expected to peak in strength.

Due to our recent rain, fire danger won’t be a huge concern, but the winds could be damaging and strong enough to bring down trees and branches, power outages, and create difficult driving conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.

Monday will be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures, making it a great day to get outside and enjoy.

Looking ahead, a storm from the southwest will bring clouds on Tuesday and the chance for rain as early as Wednesday morning through Thursday. The chance for more rain continues as a secondary storm system is expected potentially from Friday into the weekend bring us periods of showers.
Stay tuned for more updates on timing and rainfall amounts.
