The race for New Jersey governor between Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli is being watched across the country as an early referendum on President Donald Trump and how both parties perform in 2026.
From Monday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 24, NBC10’s Lauren Mayk and Bruce Ryan traveled across New Jersey to talk to voters on issues they care about the most and highlight key areas that will impact the gubernatorial race.
On Day 5 of her tour, Lauren speaks with voters in Atlantic County and shares her interviews with both Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciattarelli where she asked both candidates about their plans for lowering utility costs as well as other issues.
On Day 4 of her tour, Lauren traveled to Burlington and Mercer counties where she spoke with voters about the issues that mattered the most to them.
On Day 3 of her tour, Lauren traveled down the Garden State Parkway to Middlesex County where she spoke with more voters.
On Day 2 of her travels, Lauren spoke with voters in Morris and Passaic counties.
