First Jordan Brand ‘World of Flight' store in the U.S. opens in Philly

A large crowd already gathered outside the store on 1617 Walnut Street hours ahead of its opening at 10 a.m.
Last year, Nike announced they had chosen the two-story building built in 1921 to house the first U.S. location of its “World of Flight” store.
A document submitted to the Philadelphia Historic Commission described the design concept of the store as something that was inspired by the “intersection of Philadelphia Historical Architecture and Jordan Brand.”
The Rittenhouse Square store is the first “World of Flight” location in the U.S. and only the fourth worldwide, with other locations in Italy, Japan and Dubai.
The store features apparel unique to Philadelphia, including hyper local tees, Jalen Hurts merchandise and customization stations. The store also features seasonal footwear and limited releases including the following:
• Air Jordan 3 Retro “Black Cat”
• Air Jordan 10 Retro “Light Steel Grey”
• Air Jordan 4 Retro “Fear”
• Air Jordan 4 Retro “Orchid”
• Air Jordan 3 Retro “Black Cement”
• Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape”
Friday’s grand opening will also include a Jordan Brand Block party starting at 4 p.m. Take a look at photos of the store’s interior:
