Firefighters battle bitter cold to extinguish North Philly rowhome fire

A rowhome fire in North Philadelphia kept firefighters busy overnight as freezing temperatures settled in across the region.

According to fire officials, at about 2:30 a.m., fire crews responded to a fire at a rowhome along the 1800 block of North Taylor Street in North Philadelphia.

Crews here found the home engulfed in heavy fire upon arrival, officials said.

However, by 4 a.m., the flames were placed under control, officials said.

No injuries were immediately reported in this incident.

And, officials did not immediately provide a cause for this fire.

But, an investigation into this incident was underway, fire officials told NBC10.
