Escondido police looking for man who exposed himself to high school students

Escondido police are investigating an incident in which a man in a parked car exposed himself to students near Orange Glen High School on Tuesday, the second such incident near the school within a month, according to police.

The man exposed himself to three students who were walking to school on Glenridge Road before driving away quickly. The students immediately reported the incident to school administration, according to Escondido Police Department Lt. Ryan Hicks.

Police are investigating if this incident is related to a similar incident that happened earlier in January. During that incident on the morning of Jan. 14, two female students were walking to Orange Glenn High on the same road when a man in white sedan pulled up, rolled down his window and began masturbating in front of the students, according to EPD. There was no physical contract, police clarified.

The man drove off and the students reported the incident to the school. School surveillance cameras captured a grainy picture of the vehicle and the incident, police said.

Since that first incident, Orange Glen’s school administration increased supervision during student drop-offs and dismissals and police patrols in the area have been heightened, EPD said.
