11 people displaced after house fire in Morrisville, officials say
A house fire in Morrisville on Sunday afternoon has left 11 people displaced, Fire Marshal Michael Italia told NBC10.
The fire broke out at the 100 block of Harrison Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, in the back of the house that had three units, Italia said.
No one was injured in the fire, but Italia said that the effort to put out the fire was made more difficult due to the dangerous cold and icy conditions.
“Everything is freezing right now, it’s a giant ice skating rink out here,” Italia said. “The water line freezes, the hydrants can freeze, we need additional personnel to help because firefighters get cold.”
The Red Cross is helping those who were displaced find temporary housing and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
