Xfinity Mobile Arena unveils new food items inspired by Philly neighborhoods

Fans of the Flyers and Sixers will get to enjoy new Philadelphia-inspired food items at home games this year.

On Thursday, October 9, the newly-named Xfinity Mobile Arena announced their new lineup of food and concession items which they said pay homage to the “vibrant flavors and diverse neighborhoods of Philadelphia” and represent the best of the city’s culinary scene.

“Philadelphia’s culinary scene is second to none, and we’re thrilled to celebrate our hometown flavor by bringing fans a true taste of Philly,” Michael Sulkes, SVP & General Manager of Xfinity Mobile Arena, said. “Fans coming to events this year can expect all of their old favorites like the iconic Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab Fries, while also discovering exciting new additions that are sure to become fan favorites.”

The new items include the following foods inspired by the following neighborhoods:

Bella Vista and Marconi Plaza

• Eggplant Parm Sandwich with fresh mozzarella, blistered long hots, Sunday gravy *
• Italian Pork Sandwich with chili garlic rabe, long hots, sharp provolone 
• Vetri Neapolitan Pizza 
• Vetri Cheesesteak Salzone *

2^nd Street and Pennsport

• Roast Beef Sandwich with provolone and au jus on a kaiser roll

South Street and Old City 

• South Street Smoked Chicken Cheesesteak with smoked and deep-fried chicken thighs with gouda wiz, crispy chicken skin, and onion jam on a seeded roll *
• Cuz’s Pizza 

Brewerytown  

• In-House Traditional Philly Soft Pretzel *limited quantity available per event *

Port Richmond

• Port Richmond Style Pierogi with caramelized onions, brown butter sour cream *

Rhawnhurst 

• Foot Long Sausage Sandwich on Formica roll with peppers & onions, balsamic glaze 

Grays Ferry 

• Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich in buttermilk brine with pickles on country style bun 

Rittenhouse

• Truffled Grilled Cheese with short rib, truffle peel, aged cheddar on brioche *
