Woman shot, killed near gas station in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS - Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating an overnight shooting in north city that claimed a woman's life.
Everything unfolded around 2:20 a.m. in the 6100 block of North Broadway at Clarence, just off Interstate 70 in the city's North Riverfront neighborhood.
The shooting happened across the street from a Love's Travel Stop, located on North Broadway. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had sustained a gunshot wound. The woman was later pronounced dead.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
We have no details from police so far on the age or identity of the woman who was killed. Police have not released any information on a potential suspect or suspects.
