Woman beaten to death with bricks in North Philadelphia, police say

A woman was beaten to death with bricks in an alley in North Philadelphia in the morning hours of Sunday, June 7, police said Tuesday.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, 45-year-old Keisha Furlow was found with severe lacerations on her face just after 6 a.m. in “the rear alley of N. Opal Street.” She was pronounced dead at 6:14 a.m.

Also at the scene, officers found two bloodied bricks — which are believed to have been used in the attack — near Furlow’s body, police said.

Furlow has been identified as a resident of North Philadelphia who lives on N. Opal Street, police said.

No arrests have been made and no motives have been announced at this time.
