Who will advance to Super Bowl 60? How to watch Sunday's AFC, NFC Championship Games

Conference Championship Sunday is here.

The Super Bowl 60 matchup will take shape Sunday as the final four teams left in the NFL playoffs compete in the AFC and NFC Championship Games.

Representing the AFC in the Big Game will be either the top-seeded Denver Broncos or No. 2 New England Patriots. The No. 1 Seattle Seahawks or No. 5 Los Angeles Rams will represent the NFC.

The Conference Championship Sunday action begins in Denver with a showdown between the AFC’s top two seeds. The Broncos are coming off their first playoff win since the franchise’s 2015 Super Bowl championship season, but it was a bittersweet one.

Shortly after Denver outlasted Josh Allen and the No. 5 Buffalo Bills in a 33-30 overtime thriller, Broncos head coach Sean Payton revealed that quarterback Bo Nix had suffered a season-ending broken ankle. That means backup Jarrett Stidham will make his fifth career start — and first since 2023 — in the AFC Championship Game. And it will come against the team that selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Patriots are back in the conference championship game for the first time since their 2018 Super Bowl season. While Drake Maye‘s MVP-caliber breakout was the headliner of New England’s regular season, the Pats’ defense has taken over the spotlight in the postseason. New England’s defense has allowed 19 points and forced six turnovers over playoff victories against the No. 7 Los Angeles Chargers and No. 5 Houston Texans. Five of those takeaways came in a 28-16 Divisional Round win over Houston.

The AFC title game could prove to be a low-scoring, defensive battle. The Broncos and Patriots ranked third and fourth in points allowed, respectively, in the regular season.

Seattle is the site of the NFC Championship Game as the Seahawks and Rams square off for the third time this season. This will be Seattle’s second straight divisional matchup in the postseason after crushing the No. 6 San Francisco 49ers 41-6. The Seahawks are in the NFC title game for the first time since the 2014 season.

The Rams, meanwhile, survived two tight postseason battles on the road to reach their second conference championship in five years. Los Angeles, the only remaining wild-card team, got past the sub-.500 No. 4 Carolina Panthers 34-31 and the No. 2 Chicago Bears 20-17 in overtime.

Los Angeles and Seattle split their two regular-season meetings, each winning at home. And the games were decided by a combined three points. The most recent matchup in Week 16 saw the Seahawks erase a 16-point fourth quarter deficit before winning 38-37 on a two-point conversion in overtime.

The NFC title game pits the Rams’ top-ranked scoring offense up against the Seahawks’ No. 1 scoring defense. Seattle also boasted the No. 3 scoring offense in the regular season, while Los Angeles finished 10th in scoring defense.
