When is the USA-Venezuela World Baseball Classic final? Here's how to watch
Team USA now knows its opponent for the 2026 World Baseball Classic final.
The Americans took down high-flying Dominican Republic 2-1 in their semifinal matchup on Sunday, one day before the second semifinal.
Venezuela on Monday rallied late to beat Italy 4-2. A three-run seventh inning gave the Venezuelans the edge they were hunting, and the Italians couldn’t add to their score after putting up both runs in the second.
Italy had been the only team to get the better of the U.S. so far in this tournament, which came in the Americans’ Pool B finale in a 8-6 late-rally loss.
The final will mark the first matchup between the U.S. and Venezuela in this tournament. Led by Ronald Acuna Jr., Luis Arraez, Eugenio Suarez and Wilyer Abreu, among others, the Venezuelans are hoping to upset the U.S. for their first ever WBC triumph. After eliminating Shohei Ohtani and Japan, their momentum is soaring, while the U.S. is aiming to avenge its 2023 final loss.
Here’s everything to know to catch the action, where a trophy and bragging rights are on the line:
