Wet snow north, more rain south

Wet snow north, more rain south

There will be rain to start our Sunday. A low-pressure system will cut through WNY. At the moment, it cuts over the Southern Tier, which means a better chance of snow for the Niagara Frontier. Snow totals range between 3-6" for Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, & Wyoming Counties by the end of the day Sunday. Buffalo and Erie County are in the 2-4" range. The Southern Tier could pick up 1-3".

Since the ground is still warm and rain mixing with snow, there will be some melting. This usually leads to lower snow totals. The roads will be wet, and the snow will stick to the grassier surface first.
