USS John P. Murtha heads out to sea ahead of Artemis II splashdown

The USS John P. Murtha has departed from San Diego to support NASA's Artemis II mission, which is a 10-day lunar flyby mission that will be the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years, and the Navy will be responsible for recovering the Orion capsule and its crew upon their return to Earth.
