UM defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald robbed by armed suspects at Airbnb in Florida City: Police

Miami Hurricanes defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald was robbed by armed suspects while he was at a party in Florida City, police said.

According to Florida City Police, the incident happened at an Airbnb, where several suspects armed with rifles entered the home and robbed Fitzgerald.

During the robbery, the suspects stole jewelry, police said.

No injuries were reported, and an investigation is now underway.

Fitzgerald is from Miami and played football at Christopher Columbus High School.

This robbery comes after the Miami Hurricanes came back to South Florida after beating Mississippi in the College Football Playoff semifinal 31-27.

The Hurricanes will now face off against the undefeated Indiana Hoosiers in the national championship game in Miami Gardens on Jan. 19.
