UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed forms federal authority to oversee ambulance and civil defence services
In a major reform of emergency services, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has established the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence. The new, autonomous body replaces previous structures, centralises oversight, and reports to the Cabinet. It will manage ambulance services, fire safety, public alerts, evacuation planning, and risk monitoring, while coordinating with local and federal agencies.
