Two Oceanside massage businesses shut down due to alleged illicit activity, prostitution

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The Oceanside Police Department's Special Enforcement Section (SES) announced Monday the shutdown of two massage businesses in Oceanside after a year-long investigation uncovered illicit activity, including prostitution occurring at both locations.
According to SES, Nirvana Spa and Suite Q and Seaside Acupressure had been under investigation since September 2024, after community members reported human sex trafficking activity taking place at the two local massage establishments.
SES Detectives reportedly conducted operations at both locations which resulted in several employees of the businesses being arrested for prostitution. The agency also conducted over two dozen interviews with employees, who were all treated as potential victims of human trafficking.
According to the report, the business licenses at both locations have been permanently revoked, and the owner of both businesses is no longer permitted to operate within the city of Oceanside.
The Oceanside Police Department urges anyone with information related to similar activity to call the department's Vice Unit at 760-435- 4900.
