Thrifting 4 You: Halloween shopping

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Halloween shopping can be scary, especially when looking at the total cost for new costumes, decorations and more. In this episode of “Thrifting 4 You,” News 4’s Marlee Tuskes and Makayla Carozzolo are checking out what’s in store at Savers in the Town of Tonawanda.
According to the National Retail Federation, Americans are expected to spend $13.1 billion on Halloween shopping, with costumes making up just over half of that expense.
News 4 found costumes and accessories for adults, children and even pets at a fraction of the cost. See what’s in store and just how far your dollar will stretch.
Plus, we hear from Taylor White, Savers Assistant Retail Manager, who shares the behind-the-scene details on costumes and more leading up to October -- and where they go come Nov. 1. White also tells us when you could start to see slashes on price tags.
