'The Golden Girls' pop-up experience is coming to San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Fans of the popular sitcom "The Golden Girls" can immerse themselves in a themed holiday pop-up experience that will only be available in San Diego.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 19, guests can visit Bayside Kitchen and Bar in Little Italy to celebrate Christmas like Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia.

From palm trees wrapped in twinkle lights to pastel colors transformed into a winter wonderland, Bayside Kitchen and Bar will bring the Miami flair to San Diego -- holiday-style.

Immersive experiences include posing in Blanche's boudoir and chatting with the Golden Girls on their yellow phone.

Golden Girls-inspired desserts and food include cheesecake flights, snowball tiramisu, mini Cuban sandwiches and more. Guests can also sip on seasonal cocktails like the Shady Pines Spritz and Sophia's Spiked Eggnog.

Tickets will become available on Nov. 4. Each ticket comes with a 90-minute reservation and a Very Miami Christmas Cocoa (spiked for guests 21 and over).
