Teen stabbed following fight over e-bike in Carlsbad mall parking lot
A teen was transferred to a hospital after suffering a stab wound in the parking lot of The Shoppes at Carlsbad Saturday afternoon, the Carlsbad Police Department said.
Police responded to a report of a teen stabbed just before 2 p.m.
Preliminary information indicates the two juveniles got into an altercation over a stolen e-bike. One of the teens left and returned with a knife, then stabbed the other teen, Carlsbad police said.
Although the teen’s injuries appear to be non-life-threatening, the extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
The teen suspected in the stabbing was taken into custody.
