Teen in critical condition after being shot in Gladeview: Sheriff
A teen was taken to the hospital on Monday after he was shot in Gladeview, deputies said.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Northwest 75th Street and 16th Avenue.
As deputies made their way to the scene, they learned that a 16-year-old had been shot at Northwest 76th and 17th Avenue.
The teen was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
MDSO that it appeared that an unknown vehicle pulled alongside the teen, and then someone inside the vehicle shot the teen, and the vehicle the area.
After being shot, the teen then ran and ended up at 76th Street and 17th Avenue, deputies said.
An investigation into the shooting remains active.
