Suspected burglar accused of targeting homes more than once in Southwest Philly

Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing several homes between September and November of 2025.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department the suspect has been targeting homes in neighborhoods in the southwest section of the city from West Philly to Kingsessing and Southwest Philly.

In the first recorded incident, the suspect allegedly entered a home on the 800 block of South Alden Street in West Philadelphia around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 through a front window, police said.

The person was described as having chin-length dreadlocks and was wearing a light skull cap, light-colored pullover hoodie that had a logo on the front and they were seen carrying a large backpack.

Police said that the person took electronics from the home and clothes.

The second burglary happened sometime between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Oct. 14 when a person stole a wallet and other items worth $1,700 from a house on the 900 block of South Conestoga Street in Kingsessing, police reported.

The next day, on Oct. 15, police said a person entered the same home on South Conestoga Street around 4:40 a.m. and took food that was valued at $100.

The homeowner told police that they think the suspect used a key that had been stolen the previous day, officials said.

In this incident, the suspect was identified as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white letters on the leg, black sneakers and a black backpack.

A fourth burglary occurred at a home on the 5700 block of Beaumont Street in Southwest Philadelphia on Oct. 17 between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., police said.

The suspect in this case is accused of getting into the home through a front window and taking items that were valued at $3,000, police explained.

The fifth incident happened on Oct. 20 around 5:21 a.m. when a suspect used a basement window to break into a home on the 5200 block of Webster Street in West Philadelphia, police said.

In this case, the suspect took items worth $1,450 as well as the homeowners wallet before leaving through the back door, police explained.

Police reported that the suspect then went back to the home on the 5700 block of Beaumont Street on Nov. 7 around 3:17 a.m. where they allegedly entered through the back door.

The suspect is accused of stealing a $1,000 MacBook Air laptop before leaving through the home’s front door which set off the alarm.

In this burglary, the suspect was seen wearing a black face mask, all dark clothing, black sneakers and a dark backpack.

Then, on the same day of Nov. 7, the suspect returned to the house on the 5200 block of Webster Street around 5:44 a.m., police said.

The homeowners were asleep upstairs when their dog started to bark, police reported. The homeowners then saw a person leaving their home through a basement window with a brown leather backpack.

Inside that backpack was bank cards, identification information and other items that were valued at $800, police said. The suspect was seen wearing a black face mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers and a black backpack.
