SEPTA to provide extra service for Eagles regular season finale
SEPTA will provide extra service for the Philadelphia Eagles’ regular season finale against the Washington Commanders.
The game is set to take place at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at 4:25 p.m. ET.
On Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, SEPTA announced they will run extra service on Sunday on the Broad Street Line to the NRG Station at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. From noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, sports express trips will depart from the Fern Rock Transit Center every 10 minutes. The extra service is in addition to the regularly scheduled trains on the Broad Street Line which will run every eight minutes or less.
After the game, SEPTA will offer 10 sports express trains from the NRG Station in addition to the regular train service.
SEPTA also said Eagles fans can connect with the Broad Street Line from dozens of bus routes and there is a free transfer from the Market-Frankford Line.
The Eagles are currently 11-5 and sitting in the third seed with the opportunity to get the second seed if they beat the Commanders or if the Chicago Bears lose to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. While they plan to try and win the game, the Eagles also planned to rest several key starters during the game.
NBC10 will provide pregame and postgame coverage of the matchup.
