San Diego weather: Warmer weather for the last weekend of May

It’s a beautiful start to the morning with some clouds hugging the coast and mostly sunny skies for the rest of the county. We’ll see mostly clear skies by this afternoon with daytime highs that will trend close to or even slightly above their seasonal averages.

We’ll have mild west to northwest winds over the coast and inland valleys with mild to moderate easterly winds over our mountains and deserts.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the marine layer is expected to be back at the coast, and daytimes will be slightly warmer.

The conditions we have this weekend will stick around for this upcoming week (first week of June)! The first day of Summer will be Sunday, June 21st.

We have a full moon this weekend, the second of the month, making it a blue moon. The last blue moon was in May of 2023, and we won’t have another until the end of 2028.

SATURDAY

  • Coast: Gradual clearing – upper 60s to low 70s
  • Inland: Sunny, warmer – mid to upper 70s
