San Diego weather: Warmer today, rain ahead for 2026
We have an area of rain offshore this morning that may impact beaches. . . there is a small chance we could see some sprinkles. We do still have dry air in place though from the continuing Santa Ana winds. A WIND ADVISORY is still in effect until 1pm today for inland valleys, foothills and mountains. Winds could gusts near 60 mph in mountain passes. It will still feel dry today but we’ll have mostly cloudy skies with our next weather system approaching and it will be warmer with the offshore flow.
We could have a few showers move into the county overnight but most of the rain will be tomorrow morning and midday and it will mainly be lighter rain. Tomorrow night we’ll still have a chance for showers but we may have a bit of a break from the rain until New Year’s Day.

More rain moves in New Year’s day morning with some heavy rain at times. There will also be a chance for a thunderstorm. Rain will be expected for the Rose Parade in Pasadena as well.
The afternoon on New Year’s day looks drier although we may still have some showers around.
Friday will be drier with only a slight chance for a shower.
Another weather system approaches the West coast this weekend, giving our area another chance for showers on Saturday. Our weather pattern may stay active through next week.
