San Diego weather: Scattered light showers or drizzle possible Saturday morning
Light, scattered showers moved over the east county and our mountains overnight. There’s a chance we could see more of that activity closer to the coast this morning; otherwise, it will be a mostly dry afternoon west of the mountains. In the meantime, the highest rain chances will be over the mountains today as the system continues to break up and dissipate.
The combination of cold air and moisture moving over San Diego County could mean that our highest elevations, like Mt. Laguna, could receive a dusting of snow late tonight/overnight as lows drop to near-freezing.
Compared to Friday, today’s max. temperatures will be a few degrees cooler.
By Sunday, offshore flow will set up, and we will have weak to moderate Santa Ana over our mountains. Wind gusts over the mountain communities will range from 25-35mph on Sunday, so it won’t be too gusty, but the easterly flow will be enough to dry us out and warm us up by a few degrees.
The dry weather will stick around through next week, with daytime highs trending a few degrees warmer.
