San Diego weather: Rain moves out, Santa Anas move in
Our latest storm is moving out of San Diego County today; the skies will clear but temperatures will be chilly with daytime highs trending below normal by 5-7 degrees. Low 60s expected along our coast, and valleys, mid 40 to low 50s in the mountains, and upper 60s for our deserts.

The afternoon will be mostly sunny today, with clear skies tonight and drier conditions as Santa Ana winds develop this evening into Sunday.
Santa Ana winds will be a weak to moderate event with gusts between 30 to 45 mph. Gusty winds will reach the coast Monday evening gusting around 25 to 30 mph. No wind advisories have been issued.
The shift in the wind pattern will bring a gradual warm up Sunday through Tuesday, with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s on Tuesday.
A storm to our south will begin entering the area on Wednesday, with possible rain to end the year and a wet start to 2026. Rain chances could last into next weekend.
Here you can see how much rain we picked up between Dec. 24-Dec. 47. No snow was recorded due to the warm nature of the storm. Gusty winds along the coast on Christmas Eve peaked at 20 to almost 50 mph along our coastline, knocking down trees in various communities.
