San Diego weather: Minor cooling Sunday, increasing clouds by the afternoon

Last day of January felt like summer. Temperatures peaked today with only a minor drop on Sunday and Monday, before we heat up again by the middle of next week.

Here are some of the hottest places around the county, January 31, 2026

We have King Tides this weekend with morning high tides will be around 7 feet on Sunday and Monday. Wave height will be dropping to 6.5 feet by Tuesday morning.

Breezy conditions continue through tonight and into Sunday morning; with clouds increasing by the afternoon and into Monday with areas of fog Monday morning, with slightly cooler weather to start the week.

It’ll be a little bit of a rollercoaster this week with temperatures warming back up Tuesdy through Thursday with dry conditions and Santa Ana winds.
