San Diego weather: Cooler weekend, rainy pattern next week
Today will be sunny and dry with unseasonably warm temperatures through the afternoon, but not as warm as yesterday since our onshore flow is returning. We could see another round of fog tonight and for the next several nights.
This weekend will be cooler and dry with increasing clouds. A large storm will impact the Pacific Northwest and Northern California across the weekend. Holiday travel will be impacted in this part of the country.
Next week our weather pattern will shift to a rainy one. A large storm system will impact the entire West coast with potentially heavy rain at times for Southern California. The storm will approach San Diego County on Tuesday giving slight shower chances. These rain chances will increase into Wednesday. So far, Wednesday looks to be the rainiest for our area. Temperatures will be too warm in our local mountains for snow.
Rain chances will continue Christmas day and potentially into the weekend. Temperatures will be cooler along with the rain.
