San Diego Weather: AM fog and lunar eclipse tonight
Today will be much cooler than the weekend as our cooler onshore flow is strengthening across the county. West winds will gust near 25-40mph in the mountains today and near 25mph in the deserts. Clouds will hang around the coast with a mix of sun & clouds inland today.
Low clouds and fog will be in the forecast for coastal communities overnight tonight with possible drizzle. We also have a lunar eclipse overnight, which will have a better chance of being seen farther inland.

This week’s weather pattern will remain cooler than last week with a persistent onshore flow. Temperatures will still remain around 5 degrees above normal for the coast and inland valleys. Morning fog will be possible over the next few mornings.
This weekend will warm up a bit more, and some computer models are suggesting rain chances for Southern California, but still uncertain at this time.
