San Diego FC to host first-ever playoff game at Snapdragon Stadium: what to know

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- History is about to be made at Snapdragon Stadium.

San Diego FC (SDFC) will play its first-ever Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff match this Sunday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m., hosting Game 1 of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-3 series. The team will face the Portland Timbers, the winner of the Western Conference Wild Card game which was played against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Sunday's match will air live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and the first 25,000 fans through the gates will receive a commemorative SDFC playoff scarf, courtesy of sponsor Sharp HealthCare.

SDFC earned home-field advantage after a record-breaking debut season — finishing first in the Western Conference with 19 wins and 63 points, the best inaugural season ever by an MLS expansion club.

Schedule

The Round One Best-of-3 series schedule is as follows:

  • Game 1: Sunday, Oct. 26 at Snapdragon Stadium (6:30 p.m. PT)
  • Game 2: Saturday, Nov. 1 on the road (6:30 p.m. PT)
  • Game 3: Sunday, Nov. 9 at Snapdragon Stadium (if necessary)

Tickets

Tickets for Sunday’s game are on sale now at SanDiegoFC.com/Playoffs, and fans are encouraged to buy early as seats are limited. Pricing for tickets, as of Thursday, ranged between $66.42 upwards to $399 for club seats. The best way to access your tickets is with the SDFC Mobile App.

Parking

Parking is limited and spots are expected fill up, so purchasing a spot in advance is suggested

Due to the continuation of the Mission Valley Project, fans are encouraged to arrive early as traffic may be impacted.

Additionally, access to Purple and Orange Lots have changed. Fans should use Gate 1 (Friars Road) or Gate 3 (Rancho Mission Road) to park in the Orange Lot.

The Purple Lot for supporters will only be accessible through Gate 2 (San Diego Mission Road). Green Lot may continue to use Gate 1 (Friars Road) for parking. To get to Thrive Park Lot or the Yellow Lot, fans should use Gate 4 (River Park Road) or Gate 5 (Friars Road).
