Police: Woman shot in head and mouth during Northeast Philly domestic incident
A woman in her 50s has been hospitalized, officials said, after she was shot in the head and mouth during a domestic incident that happened in the Oxford Circle section of Northeast Philadelphia late Sunday.
According to police, a 52-year-old woman was taken to a nearby hospital after she was shot in her head and mouth in, what officials called, a domestic incident that happened at a home along the 1300 block of Hale Street in Northeast Philly’s Oxford Circle section at about 10:50 p.m. on Sunday night.
Officials said the woman was placed in critical but stable condition at a nearby hospital following the shooting.

In a morning update, police said that officers responding to the incident arrested the woman’s 75-year-old husband at the scene.
Also, officials said, officers recovered a weapon and two spent shells from the scene, as well.
Police said an investigation is underway.
