Police searching for suspect after woman shot overnight in Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are investigating after they said a 30-year-old woman was shot overnight.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Friday, October 24, 2025, just before 5 a.m., officers responded to a local hospital for a shooting victim who arrived by private vehicle.

Police said when officers got to the hospital, they learned that a 30-year-old woman had sustained a gunshot wound to her right thigh. She is in stable condition.

The incident had taken place on the 1800 block of West Butler Street, police shared.

Police describe the suspected shooter as a man who was last seen dressed in all black clothing.
