Person driving on wrong side of Plantation road had 2 pounds of pot, loaded rifle: Cops
A suspect who was driving on the wrong side of a Plantation road was arrested after police said they found over two pounds of marijuana, Ecstasy and a loaded rifle in his car.
The incident happened last week when officers stopped the vehicle whose driver was going on the wrong side of the road in the 4600 block of Northwest 10th Court, Plantation Police officials said Tuesday.
Officers noticed the driver was trying to hide something under the front seat and could see a baggie of marijuana, and the driver told officers he had marijuana, police said.
When officers searched the car they found the bag that contained over two pounds of marijuana, several rocks of MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, and a loaded rifle, police said.

The driver, who was identified as 22-year-old Markendy Similien, was arrested on charges including possession of cannabis with intent to sell, possession of MDMA, using or displaying a firearm during a felony, driving on the wrong side of the road, and failure to carry a driver’s license.
