Pair of shootings across Philly leave two men injured overnight, police say
Police say two men were hospitalized early Sunday following a pair of shootings that happened overnight across Philadelphia.

In the first incident, officials said, a man was hospitalized after he was shot outside of JJ’s Cafe, a bar and restaurant located along the 1000 block of East Erie Avenue in Philly’s Juniata Park neighborhood at about 1:13 a.m. on Sunday.
According to police, the victim — who police did not provide further identifying information on — was shot after a brief conversation in the bar turned violent. During that conversation, officials said, the victim raised his hands in the air when a 39-year-old man he was having a conversation with pulled a firearm inside the bar.
The man began to walk away when, police said, the gunman fired the weapon approximately five times, hitting the victim once.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital following the shooting.
But, police were unable to provide further information on the extent of the victim’s injuries or his condition at the hospital.
No arrests have been made, though police said, in an afternoon update that this incident appeared domestic in nature.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline by calling 1-800-799-SAFE (7233), visiting www.thehotline.org or texting LOVEIS to 22522.

Then, about an hour later, at about 1:51 a.m. in Southwest Philadelphia, officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of South 60th Street and Greenway Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Here, officials said, police found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition, however, officials said investigators did not immediately have a motive in this incident nor had any arrests been made.
But, according to police, investigations into both of these shootings were ongoing on Sunday.
This is a breaking news story. It will be updated as new information becomes available.
