In a letter sent to parents, the School District of Borough of Morrisville announced that they could be forced for shutter all of the district’s public schools and stop all operations.

This closure comes as the Pennsylvania budget impasse hits 124 days and the federal government has been shut down for 34 days, school leaders say.

Superintendent Dr. Andrew Doster explained in the letter that the district has done everything it could to “stretch” their resources.

If the school district closes on Jan. 30, 2026, all in-person and virtual instruction, transportation, food services, athletics, arts and support services will come to a halt, the superintendent warned.
