New video shows woman running, suspect fleeing after alleged Miami Beach sex battery
New surveillance video shows a woman running and a suspect fleeing after an allegedly violent kidnapping and sexual battery in Miami Beach over the weekend.
The alleged incident happened early Saturday and has the suspect, 28-year-old Alix Louis Innocent, facing charges including armed sex battery and kidnapping.
According to an arrest report, surveillance video showed two men and the victim’s fiancé on the sidewalk of the 900 block of Ocean Drive near the Breakwater.
The victim said she and her fiancé had been at the Voodoo Nightclub and Rooftop Lounge, and when they left, they saw Innocent and the other person, the report said.

The surveillance video showed Innocent punching the victim’s fiancé, which caused him to collapse on the floor unconscious, the report said.
After Innocent punched the victim’s fiancé, the report said, he told her to go with him because she was a “witness to a murder.”
Innocent then led the victim to a rooftop area on Ocean Drive and told her that she needed to perform sexual acts on him or he would shoot and kill her, the report said.
Though he didn’t show her a gun, he claimed to possess one, and she complied out of fear for her life, the report said.
She was forced to perform a sex act but managed to escape after biting the suspect in his private parts, the report said. She was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
Surveillance video showed the woman running from the building after the alleged incident and showed the suspect walking way.
“In the video you hear a few screams of distress. Help help! And moments later, you see the girlfriend exit the building running for her life. She appeared naked,” said Mitch Novick, who owns the nearby Sherbrooke Hotel and shared the video.
At the hospital, she told officers that she thought her fiancé had been killed after he was unresponsive, but he had been hospitalized with a head laceration.
During their investigation, officers reviewed security footage and saw the victim with Innocent entering the building and the victim saying “You’re going to kill me,” while Innocent was heard saying “I’m not, shut up. You’re going to listen, right?”
According to the report, police discovered that hours after the crime, Innocent returned to the scene and posted videos on his Instagram account.
In one video he “gestures as if striking someone and imitates snoring” and in another talks about the fiancé’s blood on the ground, the report said.
A day after the incident, police found Innocent, and he was arrested and booked into jail. When he was arrested, officers found 14 grams of suspected mushrooms and 12 grams of marijuana in his bookbag, the report said.
“The subject not only committed these heinous acts but he went back to the crime scene and bragged about it on social media leading our investigators to video evidence where we could identify him and arrest him,” Miami Beach Police spokesman Christopher Bess said.
The report said that he had an active bench warrant from August for driving while having a suspended license.
Records showed that Innocent was on probation until May 5, 2026, for charges of grand theft and eluding police in Broward County.
