SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A new food hall is coming to the University of California, San Diego's Theatre District Living and Learning Neighborhood, steps away from the La Jolla Playhouse.

Tiger Hospitality announced Station8 Public Market, a 20,000-square-foot space which will house 10 restaurants with easy access for students, theater-goers and the public. The food hall's name references to UC San Diego's Eighth College.

Tiger Hospitality is also the group behind the new project taking over the former Little Italy food hall, which is expected to be completed in late fall or early next year, as well as the historic Miramar Theatre in San Clemente.

Station8 will open across from Dora Ristorante, a new coastal Italian eatery from the team behind Cori Trattoria Pastificio.

The team has not announced which restaurants will be located inside the food hall. However, they will feature "cuisine from around the world," according to its Instagram account.

Updates can be expected to be posted on social media as they become available.
