Nearly 40 cats taken from Philadelphia home, ACCT Philly says
Nearly 40 cats were taken from a home in Philadelphia this week, according to a spokesperson with ACCT Philly.
The organization said that a person called them on Jan. 30 asking for help because she was no longer able to care for her cats.
When members of the ACCT Philly team got to her house, they said that they were overwhelmed when they found that there were about 40 cats living there.

The Animal Protection Officers team then went to the house on Feb. 4 and were able to capture 30 of the cats for transportation while humane traps were left for the rest of the animals.

As of Thursday, Feb. 5, all 39 cats have been brought to ACCT Philly where they are getting medically evaluated and treated.

Officials say that the cats will be available for adoption soon.
