Most showers stick to the south Thursday

Conditions still remain favorable for lake-effect rain showers, though the steering wind direction will keep the bulk of the rain, with some heavier downpours, across the higher terrain south of Buffalo. There may be some lake-effect showers brushing the Lake Ontario shore. Even though much of the day will be rain free in the metro, there is the possibility of a few passing showers, most likely this afternoon.

A drying trend is in place as we head into the weekend and will still be a bit cool.
