MLB prospect from Gloucester County in hospital after car crash, team says
A prospect for the Milwaukee Brewers who is from Gloucester County is in the hospital after getting injured in a car crash, his team said on Saturday.
Frank Cairone, an 18-year-old native of Franklinville, was injured in a serious car crash near his home in New Jersey on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, the Brewers said on their website.
Cairone was drafted out of Delsea Regional High School in Franklinville and was the No. 68 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, according to the team’s website.
According to the team, Cairone had spent the late summer and fall at the team’s facility in Arizona in preparation for the upcoming season.
The extent of Cairone’s injuries have not been announced, but the Brewers said they would provide more updates when they could.
