Man, woman dead after apparent murder-suicide in Lehigh County, coroner says
A man and a woman were found dead in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in what is believed to be a murder-suicide, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Officials shared that on Friday, January 2, 2026, at around 10:45 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office was notified to respond to the 200 block of 10th Avenue in the City of Bethlehem for a reported death.
Upon arrival, a 39-year-old woman was found dead at the scene, having suffered apparent gunshot injuries.
A 42-year-old man, who was also at the same residence, had suspected gunshot injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died, officials said.
The coroner’s office said autopsies for both the man and the woman are scheduled to be completed on Monday.
“Both individuals have been positively identified. Out of respect for the tragic nature of this incident and to allow the families time to grieve privately, their names will not be released until the completion of the autopsies,” ehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio shared in a statement “I respectfully ask the community to keep the families, friends, neighbors, and all those affected by this incident in their thoughts, and to continue to show compassion and support during this difficult time.”
