Man suffers multiple injuries after being struck by vehicle in North Philadelphia
A man is in critical condition after police said he was struck by a vehicle in North Philadelphia overnight.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, around 12:34 a.m., officers responded to a crash on the 600 block of North Broad Street.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a 33-year-old man, who appeared to be under the influence, had been wandering the area before walking onto the street and lying down in the middle of Broad Street. That’s when a black Nissan Rogue, traveling northbound, struck the man.
Investigators said the man was dressed in dark clothing and was not visible due to dark and rainy conditions.
Police said the driver immediately stopped, contacted 911 and remained at the scene. They are fully cooperating with the investigation.
Medics transported the man who was struck to the hospital, where he was treated for a head injury, multiple rib fractures, and internal bleeding, according to police. He remains in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing with the Crash Investigation Division, police said.
