Man stabs 2 men after getting kicked out of bar in Chinatown, Philly police say

An intoxicated man stabbed two men after being kicked out of a bar in Chinatown overnight, Philadelphia police said.
The ordeal began on Friday, Oct. 10, around 3 a.m. inside the Tango Lounge along 10th and Arch streets. Police said an intoxicated man was acting irrationally inside the bar, taking drinks from other patrons and drinking them. Employees then told him to get out before throwing him out of the business, police said.
The man then pulled out a knife and began banging on the glass door outside the bar, according to investigators. Fearing the glass would break, the employees opened the door to try to calm the man down, police said.
The man then confronted two patrons, a 34-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, outside the bar, according to investigators. He then allegedly stabbed both patrons before running westbound on Arch Street. Responding SEPTA police officers captured the man on the 100 block of North 11th Street and took him into custody.
Both victims were taken to the hospital after suffering stab wounds to the chest. The 31-year-old man underwent surgery and is currently in critical condition while the 34-year-old man is stable, police said.
The suspect in the stabbing also suffered a cut to his hand. Police said he was treated at the hospital before being transferred to police headquarters. Police also recovered a folding knife and a bloodstained shirt.
While the man is in custody, police continue to investigate and are looking at surveillance video from the bar.
